Cape Cod EMS is the computer based educational and data services site for Cape and Islands Emergency Medical Services System, Inc.
Cape and Islands EMS acts as a liaison between the Emergency Medical Providers and local hospitals with our primary mission as providing Affiliate Hospital Medical Direction (AHMD) services to all the providers within the Cape & Islands EMS system.
Under that umbrella of providing AHMD, other services we provide include; issuing Authorization to Practice statuses, quality assurance/ quality improvement, certification compliance tracking, and educational services.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Cape & Islands EMS, as many other organizations, had to adapt to more of an online and hybrid educational approach. It was during this time that the decision was made to invest in a state of the art technology platform that would provide for all of the current and future needs of all of the providers. That platform is Cape Cod EMS.
At its heart, Cape Cod EMS is a Learning Management System. That means we are able to offer providers the most advanced online, hybrid, and live classes and be able to track all data related to these classes.
Providers are also able to have instant access to their certification compliance status, see when certifications are expiring and receive alerts prior to expiring. Providers are also able to sign up for courses, take remote or hybrid courses, and print a Certification of Attendance for all completed courses, all right from their own account. Supervisors are able to review, track, and generate reports for providers under their jurisdiction as well as receive alerts for these providers prior to a certification expiration.
Our goal is to make this transition as simple as possible for everyone. To that end, we included some video tutorials on this page to help providers get started. If you still have questions, please contact your EMS Officer or contact us using the form below.
